Belonging
Nikole Hannah-Jones wrote about slavery in a way that made some white people uncomfortable. Some people with power and money tried to get her fired from her job. After a lot of people complained, her job said “ok, you can keep your job.” And she said “Thanks but no thanks.”
Maybe a group or boy or girl or family is rejecting you. I am experiencing this. I had to examine how I am really feeling, and that was bad. So I stopped trying to be in their lives. No, I haven’t replaced them with new people. But, that’s not the point, in my opinion. When someone who sees my value comes along, there will be room for them in my life.
